Every project starts with the site and the brief. We study how the sun and monsoon winds move across your plot, where the views and the privacy are, and how you actually want to use each room, then shape a home that works with the tropical climate rather than against it: cross-ventilated, shaded and full of daylight.
From the first sketch to the final approval and construction drawings, you work with one team that understands both the design and how it gets built, including what the local council and the Urban Development Authority will need to approve it.

How much does it cost to hire an architect for a house in Sri Lanka?
Architectural fees are usually a percentage of the construction cost and depend on the size and complexity of the home and how much of the process you want us involved in. After an initial conversation about your brief, budget and site, we send a clear, fixed fee proposal so there are no surprises.
Do you provide drawings for local-authority and UDA approval?
Yes. We prepare the full approval drawing set and can guide you (or your agent) through submission to the relevant local council or the Urban Development Authority, and answer any queries they raise.
How long does it take to design a house?
Design typically takes a few months from first brief to a complete approval and construction set, depending on the size of the home and how quickly decisions are made. We agree a programme with you at the start.
Can you work with my budget?
Yes, budget is part of the brief from day one. We design to your figure and advise on where money is best spent, rather than designing something that can't be built for what you have.
Do you work on homes outside Colombo?
We're based in Pannipitiya and work across the Western Province and the rest of Sri Lanka, including out-of-town and holiday homes. Much of the process can be handled remotely with periodic site visits.
Can you also design the interiors?
Yes. Our interior design team can carry your home right through from architecture to finishes, joinery and furniture, so everything is resolved as one coherent whole.
