Hospitality Architecture

Restaurants, cafés, hotels and resorts in Sri Lanka designed for atmosphere, experience and the way guests move.

Hospitality Architecture

Hospitality lives or dies on how a place makes people feel. We design restaurants, cafés, hotels, resorts and villas across Sri Lanka around the guest experience, how people arrive, what they see and feel, and how effortlessly the space serves them from the first moment to the last.

Behind every memorable venue is a plan that works. We balance the atmosphere of the front-of-house with efficient service, kitchen and back-of-house layouts, so the space is as good to run as it is to visit. Material, lighting, landscape and detail then give it a character guests remember and return to.

For resorts, chalets and villas we make the most of the setting, framing the landscape, breeze and views, and take the project from concept and authority approval through documentation and fit-out to a venue ready to welcome its first guests.

Frequently asked questions

  • What kinds of hospitality projects do you design?

Restaurants and cafés, hotels and boutique stays, resorts, chalets and villas, and leisure and F&B spaces, both new builds and conversions of existing buildings.

  • Do you plan the kitchen and back-of-house too?

Yes. Efficient kitchen, service and back-of-house planning is essential to a venue that runs well, so we design it alongside the guest-facing spaces, not separately.

  • How do you design for a strong guest experience?

We start from the story and the setting, how guests arrive, what they see and feel, how service flows, then use layout, material, lighting and landscape to create an atmosphere that keeps people coming back.

  • Can you work with the site's natural setting?

Yes. For resorts, chalets and villas especially, framing the landscape, breeze and views is central to the design, the setting is one of the best assets a hospitality project has.

  • Do you handle approvals for hospitality projects?

We prepare the approval drawing set and support submission to the relevant local council, Urban Development Authority and, where needed, tourism authorities.

  • Do you work on hospitality projects outside Colombo?

Yes, many hospitality and leisure projects are out of town or in scenic locations, and we work across Sri Lanka, coordinating remotely with site visits at key stages.
